As we’ve said before, people join our 8WW program, or come to our personal trainers with different goals. The goals fuel the “why” – which is the underlying motivation that working out will help you accomplish.
Recently, one of our long time patients, Jill made the trip to Peru. In anticipation of her travels she made the time to visit our gym and personal trainers. Based on her hiking goals, a workout regiment was designed, and we were delighted to hear her results.

We were planning a trip to Peru, including a hike up to the top of Wayna Picchu, the peak that soars above Machu Picchu. It’s almost 1,000 feet above Machu Picchu, almost all rock steps and switchbacks, with few rails to assist you. Although I had been getting chiropractic care at Kambeitz Chiropractic for quite some time, I hadn’t focused on getting in shape. When I mentioned the upcoming hike, they recommended working with the trainers to make it a possibility!
I couldn’t have asked for a better team to get me to my goal! I actually enjoyed the hike, the gorgeous views and my feeling of accomplishment. I expected to be extremely sore the next day, but wasn’t! We hiked several more ruins during our trip (Ollantaytambo was another ruin with lots of steps to climb around) and I had no problems.
