Where: Kambeitz Chiropractic, 7100 S. Clinton St , Centennial, CO
What: We don’t know what to say or do in the face of death, illness, divorce. People who say things like, “you’re young, you’ll remarry” or “don’t worry, you will have other children” are really trying to help. They want to make things better for the bereaved person. We are not taught how to walk alongside someone who is grieving, so we try to put away the pain. Often, however, by trying to rescue a grieving person from their very difficult feelings, what we really do is cause them to feel isolated, alone and unable to share.
If your goals are to make it atop a 14er this summer, it’s best to work your way up to that goal. While the high peaks are still covered in snow, there are some great ways to get some vertical and get in shape for hiking season.
On Saturday, April 23, 2016, Dr Troy Ryan is organizing a meetup group to do the Manitou Incline Trail in Colorado Springs.
Here is some info on what to expect. Keep in mind this is rated difficult because it’s an elevation climb of 2,000 feet over a mile distance. Parking can be rough out there so I propose we carpool the best we can. Let’s congregate at the clinic Saturday morning at 6AM. There is plenty of parking so you can leave your vehicle and carpool with someone else.

We all handle stress differently throughout our daily lives. It’s important to understand how stress affects each of us and what we can do to manage it better so that it doesn’t overcome us. There are various types of stress and we will discuss each of them and some highly effective strategies to cope with stress. Not only are we going to learn about stress management and what it does to us, but we are going to practice it. We will have at least one massage therapist at this meeting performing free chair massage for any who need some extra attention. Healthy snacks will be provided. If you have a yoga mat, please bring it.
We are going to practice guided meditation along with some yoga. If you don’t have a yoga mat, not to worry, please come and join us anyway. I will have several yoga mats that you can use.

Food gathered will be delivered to the food drive ran by The Upper Room United Pentecostal Church. Derwood Tate is the pastor of this church and he is also a patient of ours. Please help us gather as much food as possible this year. Pastor Tate explained to us that he receives many requests for food this time of the year and he knows that all donations will be utilized and greatly appreciated.

It is the perfect time of year to lace up your hiking boots and summit a Colorado 14er!
On Saturday, August 29th, Kambeitz Chiropractic patients and staff will be meeting up to hike Gray’s and Torrey’s Peaks located in Colorado’s front range mountains. Organized by “Trainer Troy,” full details about the event, and to RSVP, are on Meetup.com.
Leading up to the hike, Troy will be giving information on how to truly prepare to hike a Colorado 14er!
This will NOT be a guided hike as the group will be too large and varied to keep together. Rather, participants will meet at the trailhead and from there everybody will be allowed to hike at their own desired pace.
